Sunset Orchard & Cider Tasting
Join us for an extra-special, adults only evening of apple picking paired with a guided tasting of our most exclusive farmcrafted hard ciders.

Meet at the U-Pick Apple Shed (located near the Cider Mill), where you will load onto a tractor ride out to our beautiful orchard to be greeted by our Orchard Hosts with your first pour of cider. Pick honeycrisp apples and enjoy an at-your-own-pace guided tasting of our hard ciders, including our brand new Nebraska Heirloom cider and our 2022 Harvest Honeycrisp cider. Learn about Vala’s orchard facts and history, relax around the communal fire pit, play corn hole, and stroll the beautiful orchard at sunset.

Ticket includes tractor ride to the orchard, 2 lbs of pick-your-own honeycrisp apples, a guided cider tasting with four 5 oz pours, a Vala’s Cider tasting glass, and a drink token for an additional pour of cider (to be redeemed in the orchard or at one of our cider locations).

Purchase tickets for this event online (limited quantity) OR the day of (limited availability) at our U-Pick Apple Shed, located by the Cider Mill. Hayracks will depart from the U-Pick Apple Shed every 20 minutes between 6pm and 7:20pm (last rack departs for the orchard at 7:20pm).

Must be 21 years of age or older to attend. This event is weather dependent.

 

 

WHEN:
Cider and Sunflower Festival, Friday and Saturday evenings
September 2nd, 9th, 15th, & 16th
6pm – 8pm (Tractors depart every 20 minutes between 6pm and 7:20pm. The experience is at your-own-pace.)

Purchase tickets and load onto the tractor from the U-Pick Shed next to the Cider Mill

COST: $35 per person (does NOT include admission to Vala’s for the day)
