Cashless FAQs
Why did you decide to go Cashless?
There were several factors that went into the decision to transition to card and mobile payment only transactions.
Safer.
Keeping guests and staff members safe is top priority for us on the farm. Cashless transactions have proven to be safer in retail and amusement park venues than handling money.
Faster.
Eliminating the need to make change allows for quicker transaction times and lower wait times, making your experience even better!
Efficiency.
The cashless model allows us to operate more efficiently and effectively, giving our staff members the opportunity to focus more on you, our guest.
Is the entire farm cashless? If I come to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch during the fall season with cash, can I still make a purchase?
Yes, the entire farm is cashless with the following exceptions:
There are only a few locations to make purchases with cash.
At the Admissions Barn (the entrance). Although we still recommend using credit/debit cards or mobile payments there, you can still pay for the admissions fees with cash. You can also use cash to buy Vala Gift Cards to use throughout the farm for purchases in food, retail, and attractions locations on the farm.
Because we are a large farm there are 4 additional locations on the farm that will accept cash to purchase $20 Vala’s Gift Cards: Calamity Jan’s, Spencer’s Dugout, InFARMation Booth and Big Barn Exit.
Note: there are no refunds or cash back on purchased Vala’s Gift Cards but they can be used on future visits and never expire.
Pony Rides and the Petting Corral (feed cups) will still accept cash.
All other areas of the farm, including food locations, will only accept cashless forms of payment.
Can I use a Pre-Paid VISA/debit card purchased at another retailer?
Can I get a refund on the Vala’s Gift Card if I do not use all the money loaded on it?
Are there any set minimum or maximum amounts for Vala Gift Cards? Are there any set incremental values?
Do you accept all types of card payments? What about digital payments?
What can I do if I do not have enough value left on my Vala’s Gift card for final purchases at the exit?
All major credit cards are accepted online and on-site: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover
