Campfire sites must be reserved in advance for an afternoon or an evening. You can order a Catering Package to be delivered to your site or you can bring your own food and hot dog sticks for a great outdoor activity and cookout. You should also bring your camera, flashlights, and an extra jacket for the crisp fall evenings. We get your fire started and supply the wood, picnic table, and bales of straw to sit on. NO ALCOHOL is allowed on the farm. Each person must pay for General Admission in addition to the campfire site fee.

 

Party Barns with campfire sites provide some shelter from the weather. They each have electricity, one picnic table inside, picnic tables outside, bales of straw, and benches for seating. They are small, holding about 15 to 20 people inside, but the entire site is big enough for 40 to 50 people. These barns used to be available only for birthday parties but due to a large number of requests, they are now being offered as sheltered campfire sites. They must be reserved in advance for an afternoon or an evening. These sites include one campfire. If you prefer that the campfire not be lighted, you may make this request at the time of the reservation or on the date of your party.

Catering Discount:

On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays receive $1.00 off your group’s General Admission Price when you add a Vala’s Catering Package to your reservation (Packages #1 through #8). Campfire and Party Barn Information

Your group may arrive prior to your scheduled time to tour Vala’s Pumpkin Patch. As people from your group arrive at the entrance they may pay the General Admission individually, unless you have made other arrangements with Vala’s. They will be given a map of Vala's and will be told where your campfire site is located.

All Campfire Site and Party Barn reservations must be paid in advance with a credit card. To ensure your reservation, call 402-332-4200 or make an on-line reservation using your credit card. Weekend nights become fully booked so you will be notified if your requested time is not available.

If one person is paying for the entire group’s admission, an alphabetized list should be provided to Vala’s or you may arrange to design your own admission ticket or you may purchase Vala's General Admission tickets in advance. Our Reservations Staff can help you with this.

Your group may bring in food and beverages but NO ALCOHOL is allowed on the farm. For safety reasons we do not allow cars to drive in to the campfire sites, but we do have carts that you can use to carry food. For large groups, a Vala’s staff member can use a motorized cart to haul food to your site.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund of the campfire site fee will be refunded if the cancellation is made 8 days before the event date. This gives the Vala's Reservation Staff time to replace your reservation. If the campfire reservation is cancelled within 7 days of the event date, the fee cannot be refunded but you may (1) request a date for a 2013 campfire, (2) request Vala's Admission tickets in exchange for your fee to be used in 2012 or 2013, or (3) forfeit the campfire fee.

If it is raining 4 hours before your event or the temperature falls below 35 degrees at Vala's Pumpkin Patch on the day of your event your group may call to re-schedule or cancel without any obligations and the campfire site fee will be refunded.

If weather conditions are generally poor on the day of your event but not raining you may call to re-schedule. Our staff will try to contact you if campfires must be cancelled for weather or safety reasons.

A word about rain: In October in Nebraska it can be rainy in the morning, sunny in the afternoon, and perfect campfire weather in the evening. Weather reports can be misleading. That is why we go ahead with most campfires even when the day starts with rain showers. Sometimes rain does continue for the entire day and those are the days that we encourage you to re-schedule.
